Quick Drop Biscuits
posted by
This is a recipe Markie and I made for dinner. It was a fun way to strengthen our relationship. I usually double this recipe for our family. These biscuits are among our family’s favorite foods. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/4 C. Whole wheat flour
3/4C. Flour,all-purpose
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 C. Butter,cold
1cup + 1 Tbsp. Milk
3 Tbsp. Honey
Procedure:
1.Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
a. Cut butter into Tbsp-size pieces
b. Add butter to dry ingredients all at once
c. Cut butter into flour with a pastry blender until the butter is the size of large peas.
2. Combine milk and honey.
a. Add to dry mixture
b. Mix just until combined
3. Pour a little flour into a bowl for tossing biscuits.
4. Scoop batter into flour, one biscuit at a time, and toss to cover.
5. Toss back and forth to remove excess flour.
6. Place in greased, 8″, round or square baking pan
7. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until well browned and cooked through.
This will make approximately 12 biscuits.

It looks like you and Markie had a ton of fun! I really enjoyed the pictures.
The recipe looks like it might be easy enough for even me to try sometime. Keep building those relationships with your brothers, Sarah, and you’ll always have something to smile about!
Looking tasty! I bet the Wilkesteam enjoyed those. What good practice for being a servant, like Jesus Christ was. Thank you for such a good reminder and example!
Those biscuits sound scrum-dilly-licious! it must have been fun working together. Hope we can taste them some time!
I can wholeheartily recommend those biscuits. I reached for one the other evening, and then another, and then another, and well, ahem…..anyways, they are certainly a fine compliment to any meal. Your cooking buddy looked mighty dedicated to assisting you, and perhaps protecting you or that batter with the spoon
.
What great pictures! You both look like real energy-givers: to your Mom, to your hungry brother(s) and to everyone who sees your smiles! I’ve never tried putting any sweetener in biscuits but it sounds like a good idea and I’m looking forward to trying it. Just in case my brothers like them as much as your’s did I’ll plan on doubling the recipe too.
Say, how about tripple it!
Esther and Jonathan made your biscuit recipe for our supper tonight. They tripled it. Yum! Yum! There were only 4 biscuits left, and Robert wasn’t here!
Indead it is our family’s best
i absolutely loved your rolls!@ i came across them from google i think it was, Im going to change it a bit by adding garlic and shredded cheese and bake them in a muffin pan, Ill let you know how they turn out. Keep up the good cooking.
