My Patient Brother

Markie’s brithday was just here. It was very exciting. In the morning we put
streamers and balloons up. A family tradition we have is eating oven pancakes on birthday mornings. It is one of our family’s favorite breakfast meals. However, we were not able to celebrate his
birthday that night, but Markie waited very patiently. One week later, we celebrated his birthday with Grandpa and Grandma and the Roches (our cousins).
He opened many presents and cards including a warm blanket made by Mom. We all ate a beautiful cake made by Jennifer along with ice cream. It was a wonderful night. Thank you Markie for setting a good example of patience. ~ Adam

What a fantabulistic day! I think the best part was having Grandpa & Grandma pin the tail on the pig. Grandpa & Grandma also told us about birthday parties when they were children. Cake and homemade ice cream were two important parts even way back then. I forget now, but who enhanced that wonderful hat Markie had on?
Impressive Cake, Jenny! Joe and I here were just marvelling over the intricacies and detail you put into that. Wow! It looks like you made the day a wonderful one for Markie.
Josh, Markie was the creator of his farmer hat! He cut all those little strips of yellow paper and taped them to the outside of his cowboy hat. I don’t think you can see if from the pictures but on the side of his hat he also wrote ” I’m a pig farmer” on pink paper! Very creative!!
What a great post Adam! Your family sure has a way of making things special! I was admiring the cake and the hat too, but also the pictures! Someone really captured some great moments there! And I think I recognize the picture on that card.
Well Markie, it looks like the Lord really rewarded your patience! It looks like you were focussed on the needs of others more than yourself and everyone else was happy on your birthday too… and you had a super fun day! Psalm 138:6, Isaiah 57:15.
Happy Birthday Markie! Sounds like you had a terrific party!
Wow, what a celebration! Patient’s is a very good thing to know Markie. We just celebrated James’s birthday yesterday
