What a blessing it is to be a Daughter of a Father who invests into my life. One of the ways he shows his love to me is by spending time with me. A couple weeks ago, he did just that by taking Jennifer, Hannah and myself away to a Father and Daughter Retreat with Vision Forum in the Callaway Gardens of ![]()
Georgia. It was an exciting weekend for us just being with our Daddy. When I realized what a sacrifice my Dad made to go there, I knew that he loved us far more than anything else.
The Retreat started off with an afternoon full of Father and Daughter ![]()
Unity Games on one of the large Callaway Garden lawns, which overlooked just one of the many beautiful lakes. The Game that I recieved the most enjoyment from was the three legged race. ![]()
The goal of this game was to encourage fathers and daughters to working together side by side, in both enjoyable activies and life decisions. The afternoon ended with a wonderful picnic basket lunch on the Callaway Lawn!
The Lord spoke to me in a real special way that weekend and opened my eyes and heart to the fact that I will be a mother of thousands!! The Lord showed me that I need to begin living my life with the realization that my life will
effect those around me and those that will come after me. I am excited about what the future will hold for me as I continue to be under authority and serve my family! Thank you Daddy.

Sarah – great account! The pictures do well at capturing the spirit of the weekend. Its almost hard to believe that those 300+ acres of beautiful landscape use to be worn out, depleted cotton fields. Mr. Callaway sure had a vision for the future!
Beautiful post, Sarah!
It was a wonderful weekend! Sarah, and Hannah we are so blessed to have a father like Daddy!! May we continue to be a blessing to him in all we say, do and think especially because he loves us so very much and desires to see us be the very image of the Proverbs 31 women. We have so much to be grateful for!!
Heya Wilkes Family,
This is Carl Duke just dropping in to give huge props on the site and also just to say hi to Joshua. In answer to your question Joshua, I am currently in Fallujah, Iraq but our first mission was in Ramadi. I am actually on my way home for R&R, but don’t spread that too far as it’s kind of a surprise, heh. Keep up the good work and great job on the pics and posts. Robert is definately blessed with his web-design skills. God bless, talk to you later.
What a testimony. You can tell God has great things in store! May he bless you as you continue to build those invaluable family relationships (Malachi 4:6).
Carl! Wow – what a pleasant surprise it was to see your name pop up. Glad to hear you’re doing well. Keep up the ‘Good Fight’ there in Iraq. You will be in our prayers. Hope your trip home goes well. Send a hearty hello to the rest of the family.
