The Alert Birds

I have been watching some baby sparrows these past few weeks in one of our bushes. It has been fun seeing them grow. We saw them when they were just eggs, then when they were just born, and when they were hopping out of the nest. One time I was able to get a picture with the last baby bird that was just coming out of its nest. They were so cute!
The mommy and daddy birds were very alert to their babies. When Joshua and I were trying to take pictures, the mommy and daddy were always close by. They wanted to make sure their little ones had eveything they
needed. I think one reason God created the birds was to teach us to be alert to the needs of others, like our brothers and sisters.
Alertness: Being aware of that which is taking place around me so I can have the right response to it.

Continue applying alertness to your life. It comes with many benefits
Nests of baby birds have been growing up here in West Virginia too.
What a good lesson to learn from the birds! They are an excellent example to us of Alertness. God has given us many lessons in His creation. Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Keep your eyes open, and remember that the key to receiving sight from God is to first admit our blindness.
May we be as eager to see our Heavenly Father as these baby birds were about their parents.
I am so glad you were able to put up a post about the baby birds Sarah. What fun it has been watching them grow. I think the Staddons recently came across a Baltimore Oriole nest, right?
Its good to see you “beholding the fowls of the air”, Sarah! There’s a lot we can learn from God’s creation. Thanks for sharing your insights on attentiveness with us!
Sarah,
There was a mama duck with her ducklings that would come by here almost daily for a while. We haven’t seen them for a few days.
I really enjoyed reading your post. What a great analogy on alertness!
Hello Crystal! Great hearing from you. We hope you and your family are well. Thank you for stopping by our blog.
