It's amazing how so many people search for truth aside from Christ (using a PC spellchecker) and will never find it: "Because I [wisdom] have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;... Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me." Yet thankfully, for those who are willing to expose their sin (understanding grammar and setting aside what sounds good): "O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. ... I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me." How discombobulating! That poem reminds me of the verse we read in Proverbs this morning. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end there of are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12" Though all the common and worldly dependable means may be saying it works, a higher standard tells us something is wrong. It may seem right, but the end of this one sure is confusion!
