Daddy & Markie’s Birdhouse
posted by
Last week we celebrated Jennifer’s birthday. Daddy helped me make a very special present for Jennifer. First we planned out how we were going to make it. Then we got a 4 foot
board, a saw, a table, screws, and wood glue. Daddy marked the wood where it needed to be cut. I was able to help Daddy cut the wood with the miter saw. We both wore ear plugs & glasses to protect our ears and
eyes. Very carefully, Daddy and I began screwing and gluing the wood together. When we were done, there was a brand new birdhouse sitting on the table.
I am thankful Daddy took time out of his busy day to build the birdhouse. I like working with Daddy.

That is wonderful, Markie! I was just reading an article on WikiHow about the dangers of television and how to restrict the time your family wastes watching it. One of the suggestions was to do productive, fun activities or projects together – like building birdhouses! What a superior alternative. Building different things with my Dad is always a special time for me too. Keep working together! (And don’t forget to have fun in the meantime
)
Well done, Markie! You and your Dad make such a good team. There’s a lot you can learn from your Dad! He’s a very wise man. I’m sure Jennifer loved your very special gift. Let us know when a bird family moves in!
Your quite the architect, Markie. And what a useful gift! I’ve always enjoyed building things with Dad too.
Markie you are so special to me! Thank you for taking the time to make that awesome little bird house. I look forward to painting it with you! I wonder what kind of bird will end up making it’s nest in it next spring?? We will have to keep a close eye on it!
Markie, may your life continue to be built as intricately, diligently, and firmly as that bird house. I can recall several meaningful projects Dad and I have worked on together over the years. Those are the memories that count!
Good job Markie, it looks like you have spent a long time dilligently working on that birdhouse.
