Our First Craft Fair
posted by
Over the years, Mommy has been teaching us girls how to sew. Proverbs 31:13 says, “She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.” We all enjoy sewing with our hands and are grateful for Mommy’s encouragement.
A couple months ago we found out about a craft fair that was being put on in our neighborhood. Jennifer and Sarah have been diligently making many different items out of fabric. They decided to try selling items that they were making. They made winter hats, fleece blankets, casserole carriers, oven mitts, wash cloths, and more.
We had a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching all the people come by. The Lord answered our prayer and gave us a very good place for our table. We met several very sweet ladies who were also selling things. The whole afternoon was a big blessing to us. We learned a lot and look forward to maybe going to another craft fair.
Afterwards, Joshua, Sarah, Adam, and Markie helped clean up the clubhouse. It was neat having everyone work together as a team. It is a joy to serve others.
This is one web site Jennifer is using to look for local craft fairs: www.craftlister.com .

Thank you for the report Hannah! It looks like fun!
Our Hannah’s grandma would like some new potholders for Christmas and Hannah was thinking of sewing some for her, but we haven’t been able to find a pattern. Do you have any left for sale?
Looks like the Wilkes Team girls are using their time wisely.
Have a blessed day!
Hannah, I am greatly inspired by the diligence and resulting fruit of you all. Faithfulness in little things will always bring great reward.
I love the entrepreneurial spirit. Keep it up!
Hannah, God has a vision for young ladies to fulfill and He placed it in Proverbs 31 of His word. Your decision to follow God’s way and not the world’s way is a blessing to me and your family. It is also preparing you to be a godly wife and mother. I am confident that your husband and children will be blessed through your quiet and meek spirit. I praise God for Christ in you the hope of glory. Love Dad
By the way Team Southerland, I do believe Jennifer has extra potholders on hand. Let us know if we can share some ideas with you all!
