Daddy & Markie’s Birdhouse

{birdhouse} Daddy & I finish the birdhouseLast week we celebrated Jennifer’s birthday. Daddy helped me make a very special present for Jennifer. First we planned out how we were going to make it. Then we got a 4 foot {birdhouse} Ready to give it to Jenniferboard, a saw, a table, screws, and wood glue. Daddy marked the wood where it needed to be cut. I was able to help Daddy cut the wood with the miter saw. We both wore ear plugs & glasses to protect our ears and {birdhouse} In a treeeyes. Very carefully, Daddy and I began screwing and gluing the wood together. When we were done, there was a brand new birdhouse sitting on the table.

{birdhouse} Happy Birthday Jennifer!I am thankful Daddy took time out of his busy day to build the birdhouse. I like working with Daddy.

A “Striking” Birthday

{bowling} All ready for Jennifer{bowling} Surprise! The morning of October 3 was Jennifers birthday. Usually every birthday we have oven pancakes, but this was a different morning. We decided to have Daddy take Jennifer out to eat for breakfast. Then the rest of us got streamers, balloons, banners, cake, and headed to the bowling alley. Jennifer probably thought we were decorating the house.

When the Bowling alley opened at 10:00, we took the far end of the alley and decorated the wall with balloons, banners, and streamers. Daddy and Jennifer arrived around 10:15. {bowling}A pause before we hopefully make a strike She {bowling} Daniel makes a charge on those pinsdidn’t have any idea we were going to be there. It was fun to surprise her and sing Happy Birthday.

When we started bowling, it was difficult to make sure my ball rolled straight down the lane. At first some of us used gutter guards to keep the ball from going into the gutter.

{bowling} Happy Birthday Jennifer{bowling} Blowing the candlesIt reminds me of how a baby Christian needs guidance and direction to avoid falling. When we put the gutter guards down I saw how careful I had to be in throwing the ball down the lane. Jesus wants us to be ready always. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

{bowling} We appreciate you Jennifer
