Being together is Fabulous!

The only way a family truly bonds and becomes one another’s best friends is by spending time with one another! Family relationships can so easily be taken for granted and not pursued to higher levels of oneness, maturity and love for each other.
That is why we as a family have purposely set aside times in which we just spend time with one another and doing things together. One of those set aside times is a weekly family game night in which we rotated picking an activity in which we all can do together!
From croquet, soccer, capture the flag, Legos, small engine building, Settlers of Catan, to building bird houses, and the list could go on!
Such awesome memories have been made, relationships strengthened as we have learned to truly enjoy one another’s company.
God truly rejoice when we can dwell together in unity! Take the time NOW to get to know your siblings and parents! You will be forever grateful for the time you spent in making them your best friends!
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Psalms 133:1

I must say that these once a week family game nights have been incredible! I would higly recommend it to any family who desires to have set times of bonding with one another.
If we don’t talk with one another and share with each other our needs, hopes, struggles, and dreams there is no way that we will stay together and continue to live out the family vision that God has placed on us.
Whoopee! I always look forward to memorable activities together as a family. Whether that is laying mulch together, playing croquet, making a trip to the land, or playing Catan. I’m looking forward to family night next Friday!
It is very difficult in our culture to keep the main things the main things. Family relationships can all to often get overlooked. The good things crowd out the excellent things. I believe the Church at Ephesus in the book of Revelations had its focus on the good and not the excellent. Jesus told them they had lost their first love, Him. We too must be careful to stay close to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As we let Him control our lives Family Nights and other relationship building times stay in their rightful place, ahead of the ‘good’. Thank you Wilkesteam for keeping your focus on Christ, I am truly a blessed father, Dad
One of the things I have appreciated about your family is your example of family closeness. May God bless you with becoming closer with each other as you draw closer to Christ.
