Emergency Preparedness!
posted by
Two weekends ago we had the joy of hosting an incredible two day workshop on Emergency Preparedness. Roy Dunn came and opened our eyes to the importance of being prepared. Not out of fear but out of faith and duty.
As we look into our future we must be asking ourselves how will we respond to future challenges. Are we ready for them spiritually, physically, and emotionally? What steps should we take now to be prepared for the future? What is the difference between an emergency and a disaster?
Roy Dunn answered these questions and many more. It was a huge blessing to our family.
Proverbs 29:18 There there is no vision, the people perish:..
Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
A huge thank you to all those who helped bring in the hay on Saturday evening. With the help of many hands we were able to get all the hay stacked and covered. It also was a blast doing it all together! ![]()

What tremendous fun!
It was so incredible just to actually be there! I am so thankful for Roy’s eagerness to share his experience and knowledge with us in a Biblical context. It filled my heart with such joy to meditate on the many Scriptures that speak of the Christian’s duty to diligently maintain a regular pattern of good works, and one way to do that is to be ready to serve and help in times of disaster or emergency, when people’s needs are felt the most. Only after we know the love of Christ does the opportunity to do this become a joy that outweighs the burden of sacrifice and discomfort that come with it. Praise the Lord. Let us continue to abide in Him.
That was a fun weekend and so wonderful to see everyone!
